Life is a journey
--And not just a mere two-hour road trip to your grandmother’s house. No, most of our lives are more like an exhaustive three-week road trip in a too-small car, with more fussy siblings than you remembered having. And if your parents were like mine, you didn’t even get a choice whether or not you went on the trip…eerily similar to life. Although most of us have been fortunate enough to find some fulfillment and enjoyment in life, we’ve also experienced portions of our journey that haven’t been as smooth as we were promised or envisioned.
It’s a shame we don’t get a dress rehearsal to figure life out before the real thing counts. Because we’re promised that since the beginning of time each human being has been created for a particular plan and purpose, and to make it a bit more interesting, we’re told we are being watched and evaluated. Imagine that. Since the moment of our birth, every step we’ve made, choice we’ve chosen, every word and thought -- even those deep, dark hidden ones, have been fully known by our Creator. And recorded.
And just like a dreaded pop quiz, without warning, one moment we will take one last breath on earth and the next moment we’ll be in eternity where the recording of our life will replay for our enjoyment, or perhaps our horror. The choice is entirely in our own hands.
Everyone needs help along the journey. Countless people have helped me on mine and the purpose of this website is to pass along some of the help I’ve received. Consider this a rest stop of sorts on your journey. Take what you need, be encouraged, healed, delivered, inspired or provoked, then pass along any help you’ve received. Just promise you’ll never forget -- your pop quiz is coming. Perhaps sooner than you think. God bless.
